Check-in: from 2:00 PM

In the evening, your guide will take you on a street food tour through Hanoi. You’ll start at Café Giang and try an egg foam coffee. Afterwards, you’ll be taken to one of Hanoi’s most authentic street food restaurants. Here, you’ll be served small grilled meatballs and spring rolls “Hanoi style” along with a green salad, a mountain of fresh herbs, and a spicy dipping sauce – Bun Cha and Nem Ran. You’ll conclude the evening at a classic Bia Hoi, the Vietnamese equivalent of a German beer garden. Here, you’ll enjoy a wonderfully refreshing light draft beer, brewed fresh every day. Alternatively, you can, of course, have a fruit juice. You’ll return to the hotel around 10:00 PM.

Breakfast at the hotel.

On your first full day in Hanoi, you’ll visit Ho Chi Minh’s former residence and mausoleum. You’ll also visit the Temple of Literature, built in 1070. This complex is often referred to as Vietnam’s first university. If your late arrival prevented you from visiting the previous day, you’ll be able to make up for it today.

In the afternoon, you’ll visit the Battrang Ceramics Village, where you’ll have the chance to learn about the production of ceramic products in a Vietnamese factory. The village is located just 16 km from Hanoi, directly on the Red River.

Since the 14th century, its residents have specialized in the production of porcelain and ceramics, and since the 16th century, the typical porcelain with blue and white decoration has also been produced. The entire process, from mold creation to painting and glazing to firing, takes place in a manageable space. Many companies specialize in the production of soup ladles or tea bowls for everyday use.
